Please see the document below for the home learning pack for this week. This is an optional home learning pack, with some suggested activities. Some of the best home learning I have seen on Tapestry/ Dojo has not been from a learning pack, it has been done with their best resource at home- you as their parent! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing pictures of our children hoovering, baking, woodwork etc.
I have absolutely loved seeing all of your pictures. I am awarding Dojo points for everything that is on Tapestry and Dojo, so please keep uploading them.
Please feel free to message me on Dojo if clarification is needed or any support at all and I will do my best to help.
The home learning pack is below (EYFS Week 2 Learning Project), along with 2 documents with resources to help with this pack. Please read the phonics information below these documents too.
Phonics
If you choose to do one activity at all from the home learning pack then I would highly recommend that for this age group you choose a phonics activity. Daily phonics will really help your child to retain the knowledge that they already know and make the transition easier for when we return to school.
Children in Reception have learnt phases 2, 3 and 4. Every child is different, we wouldn't ask a fish to climb a tree, so please do not worry if your child does not seem confident with phase 3 and 4. I have had a couple of messages off parents asking for more ideas to keep teaching phonics. We have not started phase 5 yet, so if you feel your child is confident with phase 3 and 4 then you could go on some phase 5a games with them on Phonics Play (Buried treasure and Obb and Bob are good ones for this). We have not covered this yet, so please do not feel you have to start this and I wouldn't recommend that you went too far with this anyway. Consolidating knowledge of phase 3 and 4, as well as practising tricky words, is more than sufficient.
